This Town 04:27
You'll never leave this town Why would you want to? Your friends are all around you You'll never leave this bar Why would you want to? This is who you are You light a cigarette You use it to forget, the years have passed you by You watch the ember glow And you drink because you know, the years have passed you by Are you happy where you are? I think you’ve convinced yourself, but the truth is very far from that Can you really go on like this? Sooner or later, something’s got to give You light a cigarette You use it to forget, the years have passed you by You watch the ember glow And you drink because you know, the years have passed you by

My Empire 03:06
I spent a long time walking, down this lonely road I always knew that somehow, I’d find my way back home I had no idea if I had set my bearings straight Sometimes you have to hunker down and settle in for the wait I’m building my empire, in to something real I’ll build it in to something we can touch and taste and feel I’m building my empire, right here with all my friends We’ll drink and dance all through the night, it’s gonna be a happy end Happy end yeh, happy end Happy end yeh, happy end Happy end yeh, happy end Happy end yeh, happy end Well people think they know me, better than myself They try to tell me what to do, but I don’t need their help I can make my own decisions and I have no regrets And I will find my calling, I’m just not ready yet I’m building my empire, in to something real I’ll build it in to something we can touch and taste and feel I’m building my empire, right here with all my friends We’ll drink and dance all through the night, it’s gonna be a happy end Happy end yeh, happy end Happy end yeh, happy end Happy end yeh, happy end Happy end yeh, happy end I’m building my empire, in to something real I’ll build it in to something we can touch and taste and feel I’m building my empire, right here with all my friends We’ll drink and dance all through the night, it’s gonna be a happy end

Nothings ever perfect, nothing comes fro free Even in the fairy tales, even in your dreams You’ll never get there, if you never try Take a hold of your destiny, you can wave your troubles goodbye We have a purpose in life We may not understand why We have a purpose in life And all I know is that We can’t stop, what we feel inside So don’t hold it back, take it on with pride No we can’t stop, what we feel inside So don’t hold it back, take it on with pride Don’t put off to tomorrow, what you could do today A well known phrase and an old cliché, but it’s what the wise men say You’ll never get there, if you never try Take a hold of your destiny, you can wave your troubles goodbye We have a purpose in life We may not understand why We have a purpose in life And all I know is that We can’t stop, what we feel inside So don’t hold it back, take it on with pride No we can’t stop, what we feel inside So don’t hold it back, take it on with pride

I want to take this moment, to tell you how I feel I want to take my fantasies, and somehow make them real The truth is when I think of you, you linger on my mind The truth is I seem to think of you, a lot of the whole damn time It’s not just that you’re beautiful, it’s not just your killer smile Although your eyes are like emeralds, and you radiate like fire There’s something about the whole of you, that gets me going inside And the truth is I haven’t felt this way, for a very, very long time And if I thought this song would help my cause I would sing this song, a thousand times I want to take this moment, to get this off my chest I want to take a leap of faith, put my courage to the test And this aint just a flattery, a one man show off show These are my true feelings babe, and I want you to know It’s not just that you’re beautiful, it’s not just your killer smile Although your eyes are like emeralds, and you radiate like fire There’s something about the whole of you, that gets me going inside And the truth is I haven’t felt this way, for a very, very long time And if I thought this song would help my cause I would sing this song….. A thousand times, I’d sing this song A thousand times, I’d sing this song A thousand times, I’d sing this song A thousand times, I’d sing this song It’s not just that you’re beautiful, it’s not just your killer smile Although your eyes are like emeralds, and you radiate like fire There’s something about the whole of you, that gets me going inside And the truth is I haven’t felt this way, for a very, very long time And if I thought this song would help my cause I would sing this song…. A thousand times
